My husband and I are remodeling our home right now and we have heard about egress windows and we are wondering what they are all about. I like how you point out that that provide an added level of safety and efficiency. We have kids and that is the perfect combination for us. Thanks for sharing this!

Not only are egress windows safer, I think they are much easier to maintain. They are normally larger than traditional window wells and much easier to get in and out of. This means it is easier to keep the window well clean and to clean the windows. Both things I look for when I am looking to buy a house.
